Arnt Mae joins an exceptional lineup of artists from Yo CiTY on June 30 as part of the Leaps and Bounds music festival!

Melbourne cultural taste-makers and BIPOC music label Yo CiTY are thrilled to announce their third instalment of Blackout Experience; a tribute to MCs presented by Yo CiTY Connect the events arm of the label.

For one night only on Thursday 30th June at the Magdalen Laundry at Abbotsford Convent history will collide the past and the present while weaving the future through many voices on one mic. 

The night features the finest word smiths including the renowned Spoken Word artist Grace Vanilau, one half of So.Crates California born MC Cazeaux O.S.L.O. Filipino-German rapper Arnt Mae, Motswana poet and rapper Tumi The Be and Mazbou Q, a UK-born, Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland) based Nigerian artist.

Yo CiTY is Melbourne’s premiere label and talent management company that showcases bespoke happenings to bring like-minded people together and understand and celebrate issues that are pertinent to BIPOC experience. Championing new music and art from Black, Indigenous and Creatives of Colour, Yo CiTY has a firm commitment to storytelling that is fierce, tenacious and relationship building. The fully independent team curates exclusive experiences where art-makers from across the creative spectrum—including visual, oral, sonic, fashion, digital, entrepreneurs and more—collaborate with musicians in a way that elevates each other’s practice and ultimately bridges the revenue gap within the creative industry.
